Northbridge Health Care Center Raises $600 for Alzheimer’s Association

BRIDGEPORT, C.T. — Northbridge Health Care Center proudly donated $600 to the Alzheimer’s Association this year, thanks to the fundraising efforts led by Memory Care Coordinator Aida Cartagena and her dedicated colleagues.

Throughout the year, the team organized various creative fundraisers, including a Father’s Day raffle basket, a “Christmas in July” lottery ticket wreath, and the sale of purple ribbons and bracelets to raise awareness for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, among other fundraisers.

“I’m super proud of the team here at Northbridge that were supportive during the fundraising,” said Cartagena, who has been with the center for 10 years.

In 2023, the facility raised $380, and Cartagena hopes to surpass this year’s total in 2025.

Northbridge Health Care Center, located at 2875 Main Street in Bridgeport, offers short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and a secure memory care unit, as well as daily recreational programming.
